Our black lab Shelby, who happens to weigh a good 200 pounds but thinks that she's a lapdog. The sweetest dog you will ever meet ... and if you're thinking I'm kidding about the lapdog comment just give her half a chance and she'll prove it.
I know the picture is blurred but you have no idea what we went through just to get this one!

Things You Can Learn From Your Dog

- When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
- Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
- Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
- When it's in your best interest -- practice obedience.
- Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
- Take naps and stretch before rising.
- Run, romp, and play daily.
- Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
- Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
- On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
- On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
- When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
- No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout... run right back and make friends.
- Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
- Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
- Be loyal.
- Never pretend to be something you're not.
- If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
- When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

Lori, love your new look, keep doing the changes. Of course we can never get enough about our two wonderful grandkids. Like your work.

I love this! I'm going to have to print this list out and don't even have a dog. Great picture too, although it is a little blurry ;)lol

The anonymous post is from my mom-in-law in case you were wondering. I betting she was posting this at work and her phone rang before she got a chance to sign her comment.

And to Anne - I think that my dog has already adopted you so feel free to claim her. Especially when the boys (Kirk, Gene and Payton) leave her outside and she comes to you to say hi !!

Thomas likes to play with your mouse ... he'll even purr!
