Breaking News

Yep.
That picture up there?
That's me right now.

I didn't get the library job.

That sound you're hearing?
That's the rattle of the ice cubes in the very large cocktail I'm holding.

I haven't stripped all my clothes off.
Yet.

I haven't started screaming at the top of my lungs.
Yet.

Frick.

Ohhhhh, honey.

I am so, so sorry.

:(

I'm not so good at talking people off the ledge, but I'm a pretty good drinking buddy?

Mother puss bucket.

Who do I need to beat up? Seriously.

Maggie-
Hell yes - we can drink together any day or night. Let's syncronize our watches; I don't mind starting three hours early.

Heather-
Mother puss bucket is a new one on me. You made me laugh out loud!

Ah, screw 'em. I suggest now that you go to the library, find the person who got the job, and harass them mercilessly. Make their life a living hell. Be rude, demanding. Find books that have been misshelved and make loud, pointed remarks about the lack of quality personnel in the library. Take revenge one...small....painful....cut at a time.

Ray-
I would so love to do that, except the lady (one of the ones that interviewed me) who broke the news last night (when I went to the library just to get books) was so nice and reassuring. She said there may be another opening soon and mine is one of 5 apps they are keeping for the next positions.
So, I just have to be a good girl and wait it out.
Bleah.

Those frickin people don't know what the frick they're doing. (I read your last post...can you tell?)

Saw your comment on Xbox4NappyRash and had to come check you out.

I have the same frustration with my blog. People visit, but don't comment. What's up with that?

Anyway, thanks for the hope with the pregnancy. We're trying again starting next month. The doctor sees no reason why it would happen again, so...here we go!

p.s. You need an RSS feed link so I can add you to my iGoogle page! Get right on that, will ya? :-)

Cissa-
Thanks, hon. I have enjoyed the "crying in my cocktail" time.

Orkmommy-
I so totally love xbox - he's so frickin' clever. (That frick was just for you.)
Keeping my fingers crossed for you with next pregnancy. We should chat about the whole ectopic deal. Or maybe I'll just post about it and share it with the whole world. hee hee
And I would add an RSS feed if I had one clue how the hell to do that.
Someone - anyone - tell me how and I will.
Duh.

Go to http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/home and get a free account. Once you've done that, go to the Publicize tab and select Chicklets from the menu on the left. You can select the feeds you'd like to be available to like Google and Yahoo!. When you select one, the text for your site will be at the bottom of the page. Copy this and...

Go to your Blogger Layout section and add a Page Element for Text. Give it a name like "Subscribe Now!" or something. Paste the text you copied from Feedburner.

Go back to Feedburner and select another feed, copy the text and paste to your page element. Keep doing this until you have all the ones you want and save your blog.

Does this make any sense at all?

Hey, Orkmommy-
Take a look over there on the left side of the page. Whoo-hoo!
I did it! Thank you so much for the help.

Robin-
Thank you. I will drink one for you too, but I just can't stay off the ledge. It's like home!
(sarcastic laughter)
